Presentation
"As Intereurisland & SCHOLAS CHAIRS staff, university professors and students from different countries of the world, we express the desire to meet, get to know each other and dialogue beyond territorial, cultural, religious, race, age, academic background and any other kind of borders, going beyond any form of prejudice and discrimination, violence and oppression.
We want to share our stories and reflect together on how to be active and pro-social citizens, enhancing our context (the Local) and opening Mind, Heart and Soul to the Global. After the beautiful and significant experiences of the students international meetings in Castel Gandolfo (2018), New York (2019) - and Madrid (2021) - we wish to continue to "Breathe" the World, aware of belonging to a wider community and to a shared humanity, and to trace new paths of dialogue and democracy, with protagonism and creativity."
So reads the Letter of Intent of the 1st International Cyber Meeting of university students (November 17, 2020), signed by many participants.

"En tant que membres des INTEREURISLAND & SCHOLAS CHAIRS, professeurs et étudiants de différents pays du monde, nous exprimons le désir de se rencontrer, de se connaître et de dialoguer au-delà du territoire, de la culture, de la religion, de la race, de l'âge, du parcours universitaire et de tout autre type de forme de préjugés et de discrimination, de violence et d’oppression.
Nous voulons partager nos histoires et réfléchir ensemble sur la façon d'être des citoyens actifs et pro-sociaux, en améliorant notre contexte (le Local) et en ouvrant l'esprit, le cœur et l'âme au Global. Après les belles et significatives expériences des rencontres internationales de Castel Gandolfo (2018) et New York (2019), nous souhaitons continuer à "Respirer" le Monde, conscients de son appartenance à une communauté plus large et à une humanité partagée, et tracer de nouvelles voies de dialogue et de démocratie, avec protagonisme et créativité."
Ainsi se lit la Lettre d'intention de la 1ère Cyber Rencontre Internationale des étudiants universitaires (17 novembre 2020), signée par de nombreux participants.

II international cyber encounter
of university students
Open to students (but also to teachers, researchers and technicians) OF ANY UNIVERSITY IN THE WORLD, regardless of age, race and / or religious belief.
Timetable: from 10.30 to 12.00 (Brasilia, Brazil time)

"Dialogue, as a meeting of men for the" pronunciation "of the world, is a fundamental condition for its real humanization."

For a critical and liberating education, Paulo Freire, recognizing dialogue as one of the most important aspects to be developed, has always warned of the danger of the antithesis between dialogue, horizontal, humanizing, problematizing, which arises from a critical matrix and generates criticality, and alienating and dehumanizing forms that he calls antidialogue, vertical, of power that generates oppression.
Through the meeting we will reflect on this Warning, trying to respond to two provocations:

What forms of dialogue and anti-dialogue, or even conflict, do we live in our academic environment (both locally and in relation to international / global contexts)?

As students, researchers, teachers, technicians, what paths can we take (even starting from concrete and specific actions) to overcome these forms of antidialogue and / or conflict?
Participants in the II cyber encounter could present artistic proposals typical of their culture (songs, poems, dances, comedies, etc.) to participate in the Intercultural Moment: Presentations from the World (which will always take place on 17 November from 9.00 to 10.10 - Brazilian time). November 17, International University Student Day, was chosen in memory of the 9 students and professors of various universities of the former Czechoslovak Republic, shot by Nazi troops on November 17, 1939.
Organization of the event: X WECSAB Commission, team of the Intereurisland research and exchange program, linked to the PPGESA / DCH III (UNEB); EnARS Association, Italy; Network of Scholas Chairs; Research groups EDUCERE, POLIFONIA and ECcusS and FECOM (UNEB & UFBA).

Ouvert aux étudiants (mais aussi aux enseignants, chercheurs et techniciens) DE TOUTE UNIVERSITÉ DANS LE MONDE, sans distinction d'âge, de race et/ou de croyance religieuse.
Heures: 10h30 à 12h00 (heure de Brasilia, Brésil)

"Le dialogue, en tant que rencontre des hommes pour la « prononciation » du monde, est une condition fondamentale de sa réelle humanisation." (Paulo Freire, Pédagogie des opprimés)
Pour une éducation critique et libératrice, Paulo Freire, reconnaissant le dialogue comme l'un des aspects les plus importants à développer, a toujours mis en garde contre le danger de l'antithèse entre dialogue, horizontal, humanisant, problématisant, qui naît d'une matrice critique et génère la criticité , et des formes aliénantes et déshumanisantes qu'il appelle antidialogue, verticales, de pouvoir générateur d'oppression.
A travers la rencontre nous réfléchirons sur cet Avertissement, en essayant de répondre à deux provocations:

Quelles formes de dialogue et d'anti-dialogue, voire de conflit, vivons-nous dans notre environnement académique (tant localement que par rapport aux contextes internationaux/globaux)?

En tant qu'étudiants, chercheurs, enseignants, techniciens, quelles voies pouvons-nous emprunter (même à partir d'actions concrètes et spécifiques) pour surmonter ces formes d'antidialogue et/ou de conflit?
Les participants à la II cyber-rencontre pouvaient présenter des propositions artistiques typiques de leur culture (chansons, poèmes, danses, comédies, etc.) pour participer au Moment interculturel : Présentations du monde (qui aura toujours lieu le 17 novembre de 9h00 à 10h10 - heure brésilienne). Le 17 novembre, Journée internationale des étudiants universitaires, a été choisi en mémoire des 9 étudiants et professeurs de diverses universités de l'ex-République tchécoslovaque, abattus par les troupes nazies le 17 novembre 1939.
