Paper Submission

 

  1. General Standards  

 

  • The official language of the event is Portuguese. However, for the presentation of papers, articles written in: Portuguese, Spanish, English and Italian will be accepted;

  • The works submitted to the event must be in line with one of the thematic axes:

 

GT - 01 - Contextualized Education, Teacher Training and Educational Practices

GT - 02 - Peoples, Identities, Territorialities and Traditional Knowledge

GT - 03 - Educommunication and Digital Technologies

GT - 04 - Social Movements and Diversity

GT - 05 - Social and Environmental Issues in the Semiarid Region

GT - 06 - Literacy, Reading and Writing Policies

GT - 07 - Social Technologies for Living with the Semiarid Region

GT - 08 - Gender, Sexuality and Education

GT - 09 - Teaching and Learning Problems

GT - 10  - The place of art in education policies

  • The period for submission of works is from 01/09/2021 to 10/10/2021;

  • Each registered participant can have their name in up to two works as main author and in up to three works as co-author; 

  • Each work may contain the name of (1) one main author and up to (3) three co-authors. Only the main author submits the work;

  • Due to the current health emergency situation, this year the event will be free;

  • The works must be sent together with the completion of the registration form, through the file link available on Drive;

  • The works will undergo a technical evaluation on their compliance with the standards and formats accepted at the event. Those outside the norms will be refused.;

  • Proponents whose works are not accepted will be assured of their registration as listeners. The registration fee is free;

  • Only texts that meet the established standards will be accepted;

  • Approved works will be published in the event's Annals;

  • The result of the approval of the work for presentation at X WECSAB will be informed to the author via e-mail informed in the registration form, as well as will be disclosed on the event page until 10/25/21.  

          2. Rules for the Formatting of Works

              2.1 General rules for formatting the work:  

 

The work must be typed in Word for Windows 97-2003 (.doc), in Times New Roman font, size 12, 1.5 line spacing in the body of the text, justified alignment, 2.5cm top and bottom margins and side margins 2.0cm, given the following indications:

  • Title in Times New Roman font, size 14, centered, in capital letters; 

  • Authors' full names, followed by institutional affiliation and below the name, each author's e-mail address, all in Times New Roman, size 12, with only the initials in capital letters, arranged to the right and single-spaced; 

  • Keywords (three) must be separated by a period, placed on the left in a single line before the beginning of the text; 

  • Notes must be numerically sequenced and located in the footer; 

  • Charts, tables, graphs and figures (photographs and/or drawings) are optional and must be included in the body of the text with an indication of the source (when applicable); 

  • Quotations and references must follow ABNT standards; 

  • The works must, obligatorily, use the template provided by the event.

 

          3.Specifications for each modality:

 

Scientific Article or Essay: Articles originating from Graduation Completion Monographs, TCC's, Specialization Monographs, Master's Dissertations, Doctoral Theses, completed or ongoing research will be accepted. The text must have between 10 and 12 pages, containing: Abstract of up to 250 words, font Times New Roman, size 12, single space between the lines and justified; Introduction; Theoretical foundation; Methodology; Results; Conclusion and References containing only the cited works. 

 

Experience Report: papers that report experiences developed in schools, universities, NGOs (companies, agencies, agencies, schools etc.), Social Movements, Institutes and Research Centers or related will be accepted, provided that the themes are correlated with the themes of the GT's, have occurred between 2020 and 2021, closed or in progress, containing preliminary results. The text must be between 04 to 05  pages containing: Introduction; Theoretical-practical foundations; Methodology; Results; Conclusion and References containing only the cited works.

  1. Recommendations for the presentation of work by the GTs

 

The presentations will be held remotely via the Microsoft Teams Platform, on November 18th and 19th, 2021, from 9:00 am to 10:30 am. Authors who had their work approved will receive a link in advance; on their presentation day they should log in 20 minutes before the start of the presentations to test the microphone and camera. It will be up to the person responsible for the work to have the necessary structure for remote presentation (computer, internet, etc.), as the event will take place virtually.

Each work will have 10 minutes of presentation. The debate of the papers presented will be at the end of the session.

The sharing of the screen with the slide will be carried out by the authors themselves, using their equipment. Presentation of the Oral Communication: November 18th and 19th, 2021

Obs.: In the possibility of changing the dates, the authors will be informed.
