Dear collaborators, guests and other participants, for the tenth consecutive year the Post-Graduate Program (Mestrado) in Education, Culture and Semiarid Territories (PPGESA) is pleased to promote the International Workshop on Education for Coexistence with the Brazilian Semiarid. In this edition, the event will deal with the theme "CONTEXTUALIZED EDUCATION, DIALOGUES AND INTERCULTURAL CONFLICTS: BETWEEN LOCAL AND GLOBAL", with an expanded collaboration of the Department of Human Sciences, Campus III of the University of the State of Bahia (UNEB) and the University of Padua (Italy), whose agreement and collaboration have been carried out for decades, especially through exchange projects for undergraduate and master's degree students.

This year a dialogue from local and global, from national and international (and the other way around) is proposed with a focus on new/other ways of interaction and relationships (re)formulation and/or elaboration, during the period of the Covid-19 pandemic, with all the complexity that the health crisis and social distancing have entailed.

On November 17th, the event will include the "II international cyber meeting of university students" in collaboration with the Scholas Chairs program, open to students from all over the world.

The aim is to broaden intercontinental and intercultural discussion. For this reason, thematic tables, coordinated sessions, conferences, seminars and working groups will be organized aimed at promoting reflection and in-depth analysis on the current moment we are living on contemporaneity, on the Covid-19 pandemic and on the challenges of this intense period that we are dealing with. The focus will be particularly on the educational contexts of interpersonal relationships and the formation of individuals, groups (peoples) and institutions. In this process the possibilities of dialogue and anti-dialogue/ghee will be posed and proposed, in the human elaborations and reflections expressed, through education, in the different sectors of social, political, economic, cultural life and in the same way in interpersonal and intercultural relationships. In this sense, education, diversity and singularity of contexts - such as the Semiarid Territories - are influenced by these multi, inter and transcultural paths and purposes.

Due to the period of social distancing that we are still experiencing, the event will only be held remotely and online.
